A Fight for Fairness: When a Final Exam Went South

I remember my experience back in 2015 when I was in my final year of high school in Kota, aiming for the CBSE Class 11. Initially, I thought I would choose science as my stream. Yet, I was compelled to enroll in an IIT coaching class, a journey that would prove to be fraught with difficulties. For the entire year, my academic performance was abysmal, with scores around 40-50 marks in all subjects.
The Final Push and the Realization
The Class 11 final exams were approaching, and I knew their importance. I dedicated myself to thorough revision, determined to do well. Eventually, the most critical paper, Physics, was at hand.
The final blow came when my class teacher approached me in the staff room. Curiously, she had also called another student, who happened to be my best friend. The teacher's warning turned into a chilling reality when she revealed that both of us had failed in two subjects, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Our humble scores were 21/70 in Chemistry and 28/100 in Mathematics. Despite being in different classes, we managed to share the same fate. We both passed the retest for Mathematics but faltered again in Physics. This time, suspicion lingered; the school seemed untrustworthy given their actions.

Determined to vindicate myself, I printed out the 'correct' report and confronted my teacher and principal. The administration acknowledged the possibility of a mistake. After a petition signed by my classmates and pressure from parents, my teacher was removed from the school and even had a negative remark in her professional record.
While this episode was a significant blow, it taught me the importance of perseverance and integrity in the face of adversity.
