Admission Timings and Procedures for SRCC
Introduction to SRCC:
School of Renewable Energy and Sustainable Resources (SRCC) is one of the top colleges renowned for its academic excellence. In addition to its stellar academic performance, SRCC provides an unparalleled platform for self-discovery, fostering lifelong friendships and connections. The college's strong college management and reputation have contributed significantly to its status in the academic community.
Application Timing and Procedures
The administrative office of SRCC follows normal working hours from 9 AM to 4 PM. However, in case of emergencies, the timings can be extended with a proper justification. This ensures that the office remains accessible for urgent student queries and requirements.
Admission to SRCC is primarily based on the marks obtained by candidates in their class 12 CBSE board examinations. In the year 2014, with an aggregate score of 98 in the commerce stream, I managed to secure a place in SRCC through a rigorous selection process characterized by stringent cut-offs. This underscores the competitive nature of securing admission to SRCC.
The admission process is both straightforward and transparent. Students need to fill out the Delhi University Admission form and submit the required documents by the specified deadline. Once the cut-off scores are announced, candidates who have secured marks above the stipulated cut-offs for the chosen courses must adhere to the subsequent instructions provided by the college.
Fee Structure and Facilities
SRCC offers a competitive fee structure, with a current semi-annual fee of 15,000, totalling 30,000 per year or 90,000 for the entire course. This fee structure is more reasonable compared to other colleges in the Delhi University, particularly due to the high-quality infrastructure and esteemed faculty. Students from lower-income backgrounds are eligible for financial aid if they meet the requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for pursuing Honours in Business Studies or Economic Studies at SRCC is based on the best of four percentage, where the student can choose any four subjects, with English as a compulsory subject. Additionally, students must have studied Mathematics in class 12, irrespective of their performance. Meeting these criteria and securing a mark above the cut-off in the entrance exam are essential for admission. The cut-off scores for Honours in Business Studies and Honours in Economics were 97.25 and 98.25, respectively, for general categories, with lower cut-offs for Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and physically disabled students.
Overall, SRCC stands out as a prime institution for students pursuing higher education in commerce, offering a blend of academic excellence, supportive resources, and a nurturing environment for holistic development.
