After NEET: A Break to Recover and Recharge
Experience: After NEET exam, I realized that the number of students who appear for NEET is significantly more than those who actually study. My friend, who cleared NEET in 200 attempts, ranked around 6-7 lakhs, indicating how much less time they spend studying. It takes around 25 lakhs students just to appear for the exam, and out of those, only 1-2 lakhs actually study, making the competition extremely tough. Right after the exam, my confidence dropped. I felt I needed a break. I had a clear idea that this time, I had to take a drop year.
The journey of taking a drop year and preparing for NEET is a reflection of self-determination and resilience. While it seems easy to sit and study for four months and secure a 600 score, the ones who do so often tend to face disappointment. Consistency is key. Distractions can be very harmful, and you must focus on what is necessary. Life can be easy, but we complicate it. Overhyping things can make us think they are more challenging than they actually are.
Hearing success stories from people who have managed to secure entry to colleges despite a lack of dedication highlights the importance of consistent effort. It is a reminder that NEET is not just about scoring well, but also about maintaining a balance between hard work and mental well-being. The NEET examination is a major hurdle, and clearing it is a significant achievement. The paper is worth 1600 marks, followed by a counseling process that involves additional costs.
Feel:
Feeling good and happy after taking a drop year and not opting for a secondary degree is a relief. After one year of intense preparation, the satisfaction of taking a break and not being overly stressed is immense. I am happy now. It is essential to remember that happiness and peace are what matter the most. It is vital to maintain a balance and not let the pressure get the better of you. Life is easier if you do not complicate it yourself. Reflecting on your journey, finding happiness during tough times, and maintaining a balance between your studies and personal life are important aspects of success.
Beneficial: Taking a drop year has taught me a lot. I have developed a better understanding of how to manage my time and stay motivated. When you have a lot of pressure on you, adding even a small amount of extra pressure can be challenging. However, the world of relationships and life is easier and more manageable. It is about reevaluating priorities and understanding that life is a journey. Some things take time, and it is important to trust the process. I have seen changes over these two years and I am happy that each moment brings new insights and a better understanding of myself.
Hope that no further lapses occur and that everything goes smoothly. I have put a lot of effort into understanding these concepts, and it is crucial for anyone starting their NEET journey. For you, it might be the right time to grasp these lessons and use them for success. Trust me, the journey is rewarding and filled with valuable lessons, but it all boils down to a balanced approach. I am happy with no regrets!
