A Personal Account of Successfully Clearing SBI PO
Yes, it’s absolutely possible. I didn't have much idea about banking exams initially. I went through the syllabus and then looked at the previous years' question papers.
I started clearing basic concepts of Arithmetic topics and started practicing questions based on them. I also took mocks, namely from Oliveboard. After clearing my concepts, I practiced new pattern questions based on them. I gave mocks to get the basic idea of the exam.
In one month of preparation, I cleared the preliminary exam, though I was just one mark above the cutoff. Even after scoring 28/30 in the interviews, I missed the final selection in SBI PO by the least possible margin of 0.01 marks.
Anyways, I appeared in the interviews again for SBI PO but again missed the final selection after appearing in interviews. Overall, I took two months for preparation.
In my third attempt, I cleared SBI PO in one month of preparation, as I already had PO in BOI, so wasn't able to give much time, but still went on to clear the exam. My basic concepts were clear, so I started giving mocks and practicing new pattern questions. I started preparing for the mains beforehand by giving mains mocks. Also, I read current affairs from the start and mostly did quizzes.
So, yeah, you can clear SBI PO within 6 months if you have the fire in you. I was highly motivated, especially after my first close failure. For any other queries, feel free to contact me:
