Surviving the IIT JEE Preparation Journey: A Personal Account

Surviving the rigorous preparation for the IIT JEE can be a mentally and physically draining experience that lasts for 2 to 3 years, as it was for me. After crossing this challenging phase, life at an IIT takes a turn for the better. The campus offers a world-class environment for both technology and sports, providing ample opportunities to explore interests and hobbies.

Daily Schedule

The daily schedule can vary depending on the timing of the classes on that day. Here's a typical day:

Waking up: 15-20 minutes before the morning class, brushing, getting ready, and rushing to the class, most often missing the breakfast. Coming back: Having lunch and then heading back to class if there are any, or taking a 1-2 hour nap. Evenings: Spent either by playing table tennis or completing assignments for the next day. After Dinner: Utilizing time to work on ongoing projects or learning something new, followed by chilling out with friends, having a casual chat, or playing PC games, and then going to sleep, depending on the time to get up the next day.

This basically summarizes my normal day at IITR, and of course, weekends are much more relaxed, with no classes to deal with, and playing time increases.

Overall, life at IIT Kharagpur is a dynamic and enriching experience, blending intense academics with a vibrant social life and a plethora of extracurricular opportunities.
