After all, the most important judge of your writing might be someone who can connect with your work, understand its intent, and find resolution in it. So why seek validation from others when you can achieve fulfillment within yourself?

A Personal Reflection

I have always had a passion for writing, but my journey has been marked by both triumph and unpredictability. I began sharing my poetry and short stories on a platform called Pratilipi a few years ago. While I took a break from writing due to unforeseen circumstances, I resumed in 2020, participating in various story competitions and finally winning a few prizes. Today, I continue to write novels whenever the mood strikes me, but the road to improvement is long.

Regarding my own skills, I hold a humble perspective. Personally, I do not consider myself a great writer. However, there have been instances where my writing has genuinely impressed me. The saying about a broken clock being right twice a day is a fitting reminder that even the most talented individuals can experience moments of inefficiency or similarity in their work. Nevertheless, I take pleasure in writing, and I recognize my own unique style, which sets me apart from the majority.

Attributes like engagement, descriptive content, proper punctuation, and grammar are crucial for a good writer. Yet, the true test lies in the ability to stand out from the crowd. If ten people each wrote a story on the same topic, a person who knew my style would be able to identify it instantly. This recognition is not just about talent but also about putting my personal touch on every piece of work.

For me, the joy derived from writing is the most important aspect. It's not about being the best writer, but rather enjoying the process and developing a unique style. Even if I am average, the thrill of creation and the uniqueness of my work are more valuable than any potential accolades.
