Personal Experience at FSU
I had the opportunity to study at FSU for a year, pursuing a Master's in Library Science. The program was exceptional, and I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of education and the dedication of the faculty. However, there were a few aspects that could have been better. For one, the computer infrastructure was not as advanced as it is today, and certain classes, like the five-hour cataloging course, were particularly challenging. Nonetheless, the professors were outstanding, and the overall experience was rewarding.
One notable aspect of FSU is its unique architectural feature - a large number of covered walkways. This was interesting and, according to one of my professors, served a cultural purpose, reflecting the Southern preference for avoiding direct sunlight. From a logistical standpoint, these walkways were certainly convenient during the hot Florida summers.
Overall, while individual preferences and academic goals will ultimately dictate whether FSU is the right choice, it is undoubtedly a strong institution with numerous benefits to offer aspiring students.
