MAIT 2020-2021 Placement Season: A Recap of Great Placements and Company Presence
As a recent graduate from the Master of Applied Information Technology (MAIT) program, I have witnessed firsthand the impressive placement stats from the 2020-2021 placement season. Despite the challenges posed by the global pandemic, many students landed great opportunities through both on-campus and off-campus recruitment.
Great Placements: Off-Campus Successes
The placement season of 2020-2021 at MAIT was marked by significant achievements, especially with off-campus recruitments. One of my friends secured a position at Google, a testament to the college's strong network and the caliber of the candidates.
Notably, a remarkable 28 students were placed at Amazon with an impressive package of 31 LPA ( Lakhs Per Annum). Additionally, another group of 9 students were fortunate enough to secure positions at Amazon with a lower package of 17 LPA. ZS Associates also received a significant influx of applicants, with 22 placements at 12 LPA. In a more high-end job market, 3 students managed to land positions at Microsoft, securing a generous package of 42 LPA.
Even more impressive is the fact that over 70 companies visited the campus, ensuring that a vast majority of the students had access to diverse and quality job opportunities. This high number of recruiters, despite the ongoing pandemic, highlights the college's commitment to providing its students with robust placement assistance and networking support.
Personal Experiences and Memories
I am also part of the MAIT 2020-2021 cohort. In my final year, we had a fantastic camaraderie and spirit of friendship. We frequently enjoyed activities like playing cricket, eating together, and going out for night outs and playing Mafia games in the night. It was perhaps the best time of our lives before the pandemic hit.
Some of my fellow batchmates found employment in prestigious organizations:
