A well-structured study plan is the cornerstone of your success. Develop a realistic and comprehensive plan that covers all subjects and ensures regular revision. Allocate specific time slots for each topic, keeping in mind the exam's comprehensiveness and the need for periodic reviews.
Consistency and Dedication
Staying consistent is crucial. Stick to a rigorous and continuous study schedule to ensure steady progress. Dedication and persistence are key as the exam demands a rigorous mindset. Regular practice will help you adapt to the exam's format and improve your time management skills.

A Detailed Plan for Prelims
To summarize, here's a detailed plan for the next 60 days:
Polity - 12 days History - Art and Culture - 12 days Environment - 12 days Schemes, Bodies, and Organizations - 12 days Economy - 12 daysEach section should be covered with the following components:
Static Subject Important Current Issues A Monthly Current Affairs TestDaily Micro-Scheduling
Set a daily target for yourself. For example, if you choose to study for the Economy section, select the chapters you want to finish in a day. While covering static books, also look into current affairs to get topics that were in the news in the last year. Focus more on topics with a high probability of appearing in the exam. Below are some examples from National Income and Development in the last one year:
Topics from National Income and Development: Consumer rights and privileges Food testing Consumer forums Death of consumers and legal heirs
Option Elimination Technique
In my experience, option elimination is a key to scoring more. Learn and use it effectively. Below is an example from an actual UPSC Prelims question:
With reference to consumers' rights/privileges under the provisions of law in India, which of the following statements is/are correct?
(1) are empowerment to take samples for food testing. (2) when a consumer files a complaint in any consumer forum no fee is required to be paid. (3) In case of death of a consumer his/her legal heir can file a complaint in the consumer forum on his/her behalf.Select the correct answer using the codes given below:
[A] (1) Only [B] (2) (3) Only [C] (1) (3) Only [D] (1) (2) (3)
In the first glance, it looks very factual and difficult. But if you look closely, you'll see that statement (2) contains an extreme sentence, "no fee." Eliminating this leads to the correct answer C.
