Entrance at the NEET 2018 Examination Centres

Frisking, a crucial aspect of any examination, was taken seriously. Candidates who forgot to bring an extra photo were allowed back only if they paid a Rs. 50 fine. Many students were required to leave the examination center after entering due to their parents not signing the admit card.

Reminders about banned items were rampant as students were seen helping each other remove electronics like watches, mobile phones, and ornaments such as rings, earrings, nose-pins, chains/necklaces, pendants, badges, and brooches. At one school, a candidate had to remove her Abhaya and hijab.

Timing issues also affected a few students at various centers in Navi Mumbai. The gates at most centers closed sharp at 9:30 AM, and no excuses were entertained after that.

NEET 2018 – Students’ Reactions

Biology was considered the easiest subject of the three. Initially, the majority of candidates reported that the paper was of moderate difficulty. However, Physics was reported to be tougher compared to the previous year. The overall difficulty level of the paper was rated between 6 to 8 by the students.

According to the strict adherence to the syllabus, the paper followed the exact curriculum, and no major deviations from the text book were noticed. Here are a few candidate quotes:
