NEET UG 2021 Experience and Expectations: Real-Time Student Insights
As graduates of the NEET UG 2021 exam, many of us share a mix of emotions ranging from relief to anxiety. In this article, we dive into the experiences of several students who took the exam and their expectations based on official answer keys and unofficial predictions.
Samikshya's NEET UG 2021 Experience
Samikshya: This is my first post here, a silent reader turned active participant.
Before diving into the marks, let me set the stage. I have been a student at Allen in Kota for two years and recently completed my boards. Based on Allen's mock tests, my predicted score was in the range of 660-690. However, on exam day, I was filled with nervousness due to the weight of two years of preparation condensed into three hours. To maintain calmness and confidence, I told myself to treat the exam as one of Allen's mock tests.
My strategy involved solving all questions in section A first, leaving the uncertain ones. For section B, I attempted only those with confidence and utilized the remaining time to revisit doubtful answers. With careful time management, I managed to complete the exam within the allotted time and minimize the risk of errors.
Reviewing the Allen answer key, my expected marks are as follows:
Biology: 350-175-175 Chemistry: 162 Physics: 171 Total: 683Note that these scores may change based on official result keys or marking errors.
Stay hopeful and let's keep our fingers crossed for the results. Here are some pictures from the day.
Another NEET UG 2021 Experience
Anonymous Student: Well, I scored around 625 on average throughout the year but ended up with 598 on the exam day. The fear of the exam day affected my performance. However, with the official NTA answer key, I expect to score around 609 after considering possible question challenges.
I have lost confidence in two questions: one related to general diseases and another about the Zener diode. If these questions are challenged, I might lose 10 marks, but I can still hope for a top college in my state in the mop-up round from the first round of allotment.
Let's pray for the best as the results come in.
Moderate Paper and Final Predictions
A student reported, 'My paper went moderately well, despite making some silly mistakes in Physics. Based on the Allen answer key, I expect to score around 611.' They are eagerly waiting for the results.
Their approach was to focus on section A questions first, then confidently attempt section B questions. They also left extra time to check answers that required careful attention.
Conclusion and Final Thoughts
NEET UG 2021 was a challenging exam for many, but with preparation, time management, and a calm mindset, it's possible to perform well. Regardless of the score, the journey leading up to the exam is equally important and rewarding. Let's stay positive and wait for the results.
