NTSE English Section: The New Requirement for Qualification
Have you been wondering about the qualifying marks required for the English section of the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE)? Good news! This year, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has made significant changes to the NTSE, removing the need for a language test.
From now onwards, the exam will be divided into two main sections:
Section 1: SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test)
Total Marks: 100 Weightage: 60% of the total marksThe SAT will cover a broad range of scholastic subjects, including General Knowledge, Mathematics, Science, and other academic disciplines.
Section 2: MAT (Scholastic Assessment Test)
Total Marks: 100 Weightage: 40% of the total marksThe MAT will focus on different aspects of English language and general aptitude. This includes reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and logical reasoning, among other topics.
The New Approach to Preparation
The elimination of the language test means you no longer need to prepare for a specialized language exam. However, it is crucial to understand that the English section of the MAT still holds significant weightage. Therefore, improving your language skills will remain essential for a comprehensive preparation strategy.
