Personal Experience
I am an alumnus of the GMP 2017 batch and completed my Masters in Global Strategy and Sustainability from Nyenrode Business Universiteit in the Netherlands. Currently, I work as a Project Manager at AkzoNobel in the Netherlands. During my time in the GMP, I had the opportunity to complete a semester at SPJIMR and now await my graduation in August 2019.
Overall, the GMP offers a robust support system for securing placements in various industries and roles. Leveraging the institute's reputation and global connections, the programme ensures that students are well-prepared for their future careers.
My Journey through GMP
I joined the GMP in the 2017 batch, and our cohort numbered around 70 students. Thirty-five of us enrolled in the European leg of the programme at EBS Universitt für Wirtschaft und Recht in Germany, while the majority of other students pursued Master's degrees in Management, Automotive, or Finance.
The GMP has seen significant growth over the years, with many alumni now working for multinational corporations. This strong alumni base plays a crucial role in mentoring the following batches and often provides assistance with internships. The majority of us secured internships with companies like Bayer, BASF, Lufthansa, EY, Porsche, and PG, while others are thriving in startups with a promising growth trajectory.
My personal journey through GMP was as follows: I had two years of work experience before joining the programme. After completing the GMP course from June to December 2017, I moved to Germany in January 2018. I then completed the spring semester in 2018 and secured a summer internship with a consultancy firm in Frankfurt. Post the fall term in 2018, I began interning with Bayer in the sustainability consulting department and am currently working on my thesis as I prepare for graduation.
