Pros and Benefits of EcoPoints MA Economics Entrance Exam Preparation

How Was My Experience at EcoPoint for the MA Economics Entrance Exam?

As a student pursuing B.A. Economics from D.G. Ruparel College of Arts Science and Commerce under the University of Mumbai, and currently enrolled in the Economics program at IGIDR, I took a 1-year online course at EcoPoint to prepare for several entrance examinations including DSE IGIDR, ISI, IIT-JAM, and GATE. This article delves into my experiences at EcoPoint and the benefits it brought to my preparation process.

Faculty

The faculty at EcoPoint, particularly Nishant Sir and Vidhi Ma'am, were standout teachers. They went the extra mile to ensure their students' success. Nishant Sir and Vidhi Ma'am not only provided clear explanations of complex concepts with extensive examples but also answered all students' doubts during live classes. They were both approachable on WhatsApp, always there to assist and motivate. In addition, the faculty conducted mock interviews to prepare us for ISI and IGIDR interviews.

Online Portal

The Quampus portal at EcoPoint is user-friendly and accessible, with recordings of all live lectures spanning a wide range of subjects. These recordings, which include International Economics and Development Economics, are invaluable for theoretical preparation. The portal also offers numerous practice tests and assignments to help students develop problem-solving skills and time management. Solving a significant number of practice tests and questions through these resources contributed to my quick performance in actual exams.

Practice Papers and Tests

The practice papers and tests available at EcoPoint were crucial in honing problem-solving skills and handling the exam environment. Regular mock tests and full-length papers helped us develop time management skills and address the stress that can arise during the actual exams. Discussing these problems with peers and teachers provided an additional layer of understanding and preparation.

Discussions and Peer Interaction

The WhatsApp groups at EcoPoint were vital platforms for peer interactions. These groups facilitated productive discussions and the resolution of doubts among students. The exchange of knowledge and the involvement of top students from across India in these discussions further enriched the learning process.

Conclusion and Recommendations

EcoPoint served as the perfect platform for bridging the gap between the college curriculum and the entrance exam syllabus. The teachers continually motivated us and encouraged us to put in extra effort. In the end, the success in entrance exams came down to the efforts we made. I wholeheartedly recommend EcoPoint to anyone beginning their entrance preparation for MA/MSc Economics.

Preparing for MA/MSc Economics entrance exams requires dedication and a well-formulated strategy. My ideal way to prepare would include making notes, attending all live lectures, revising, solving practice tests and previous year papers. Consistency in preparation is key to success.

Good luck to all aspiring MA/MSc Economics students!
