Reflecting on College Reunion: Nostalgia and Unforgettable Moments
Five years ago, I graduated from my alma mater, but this month, I revisited the beautiful campus after a wait of 2.5 years. It was a journey back in time, brimming with nostalgia and cherished memories.
Memories of a Campus
Every walk down the lane takes me back to those golden days. The atmosphere is as vibrant as ever, but some things have changed, like the new paint and some wall murals. Warmth from old memories still envelops every corner, like:
The Amphitheatre: Just as before, it hosted performances, but it was so crowded during special occasions that we could barely find a seat. We would sing, dance, and watch with equal enthusiasm. The Exhibition Hall: Once a place of artistic and cultural displays, it remains a significant part of my college experience, where we witnessed a myriad of creative expressions. The Corridor and Our Room (15): This was our common space, filled with laughter, conversation, and even studied knowledge. Each step seems to carry the echoes of old conversations and balloon ties. The Classrooms and Labs: Those early mornings in the labs, rushing to get our attendance, still tingle the nerves. Despite the rush, the camaraderie and the pursuit of knowledge were invaluable. The Playground: Mandatory for NSS, NSO, and NCC, participating in volleyball was more than a physical exertion. It was also about bonding and earning coupons for the cafeteria. The Garden: intricately maintained like a Mughal garden, it was our haven from daily stresses. We indulged in capturing fleeting moments amid the blossoms. The NCR New Common Room: A sanctuary for rest and relaxation. It was my favorite spot to recharge and rejuvenate with classmates. Rinku Bhaiya (Photocopy Bhaiya): A popular figure among students, he was a friendly face, especially for girls. Backside College Road: Our beloved lane, where friends and I spent some of our most precious moments, roaming, feasting on spicy potatoes, and sharing all that was personal and worldly. Each of these places holds a piece of my heart, but they are just a few among countless memories. My student life was a precious period filled with joy, learning, and growth. Let's revisit some of these cherished moments:
The Lanes of Campus
The lanes of my college are woven into my memories, from Sutta Lane to other hidden gems, despite not being a habitual smoker, these lanes held rich storytelling, laughter, and countless adventures.
The Amphitheatre and Beyond
Remember the amphitheatre? It was a stage for performances, debates, and concerts. The seminar rooms were where we gained insight into various aspects of life, guided by famous personalities. And the classrooms and labs were more than just academic zones; they were places of camaraderie and shared learning experiences.
The Ground and Sports
The sports field echoed with the sounds of cricket, volleyball, and badminton. Freshers week was a highlight, as was the rain dance... all these moments were a celebration of community and friendship.
The Dining and Rest Areas
The famous world-renowned Suddam’s Chai was the water cooler for campus gossip, while the Tom Uncle’s Maggie was a treat for our taste buds. These small details make the campus a homely place.
While writing down these memories, I realize that true stories of college life are best told without words. Each visit to my alma mater still fills my heart with warmth and joy. Through the walls, corridors, and classrooms, the memory of the college is undying and the cherished moments remain etched in our hearts.
Thank you for sharing these memories with me. I hope you find your own college days as fulfilling as mine were.
