Reviving Lost Moral Values: The Path to a More Compassionate Society

By investing in the Bible, we can uncover God's morals, which surpass our own. Spiritual values centered around Jesus cannot be matched. Each human being has values, but not all are rational, reasonable, and compassionate. It's a choice, and we can foster more of those values in society.

Defining Moral Values

Are the values we hold rational, reasonable, and compassionate, or are they irrational, unreasonable, and hostile? Every conscious human being possesses values, but there is a significant deficit of rational, reasonable, and compassionate values among many. We could all use more of these kinds of values.

How We Lost Moral Values

Moral values only exist if they are linked to a greater and impenetrable value, which used to be God. With Nietzsche's assertion that "God is dead," every moral value has lost its grip on humanity.

To bring back moral values, we need a new, greater value that surpasses everything in importance. Philosophers have pursued such a value for ages, but nothing has been found. Instead of losing our values in the first place, we should teach them to our children and require those entering our circle to abide by them.

Taking Action

We must start with ourselves and our families. We must remain steadfast and committed to integrity and morality, as these values themselves are their strength and defense.

Why Moral Values Matter

A humane society cannot flourish without morals and values that exemplify empathy, compassion, respect, and love. Children are raised on the morals and values passed down by each generation. Over my lifetime, I have witnessed a drastic decline in societal morals and values, marked by a lack of conscientiousness regarding how one's actions and reactions affect others.

People seem to lack "conscientious loving awareness," a "love your neighbor as yourself" mentality. So, how can we cultivate this mentality? What causes people to care about their neighbors? How do we develop a consciousness for being compassionate, showing empathy, and love for others regardless of circumstances?

Steps to Reinforce Moral Values

1. Teach Values to the Next Generation

The coming generation must be raised up on values and morals of empathy, compassion, and love. The present generation must exemplify these characteristics to pass them down.

2. Educational Curricula and Mindset Change

School administrators can develop and implement a curriculum addressing morals and values that stress empathy, love, compassion, and "do unto others as you would have them do unto you," as well as "loving your neighbor as yourself."

Education is crucial in changing mindsets. The mind must hold convictions regarding morals and values. Parents can exemplify the values they wish to pass down, starting at home and filtering into communities.

3. Individual Responsibility and Mindset

Your neighbor's well-being should matter to you as if it were your own, no matter where you are or what circumstances you're in. Always be conscientious of your actions and reactions toward others.

Romancing yourself by deifying and then excessively conceiving your cause weakens your cause. Instead, approach your efforts with a humble and adaptable mindset.

Blessings to all who work towards a more compassionate and moral society.
