The Relevance of Counseling Knowledge for Secondary School Teachers

My journey into counseling, completed between 15 and 20 years ago, was largely driven by a desire to explore a new direction in my career. Although I was unable to fully complete my Master's degree, the coursework and experience gained have been invaluable in my teaching career and personal life.

Leveraging Counseling Skills for Effective Teaching

One of the most significant benefits of my counseling education was learning how to listen. Active listening is a fundamental skill that can greatly enhance a teacher's ability to connect with students.
