Is the Aadhaar Update Compulsory for the JEE Mains?
As of the last update in August 2023, updating your Aadhaar card was not strictly compulsory for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains. However, it is important to provide valid identification during the application process. It is recommended to refer to the official JEE Mains website or the latest announcements from the National Testing Agency (NTA) to stay updated on any changes or specific requirements.
How to Update Your Aadhaar Card
To apply for JEE Mains, you should submit a correction request at the Aadhaar center for biometric updates. After submitting the request, you will receive a slip with the 14-digit Aadhaar Enrollment ID/UID number printed on it. You can then apply for JEE Mains by entering this ID in the application form.
While it is advisable to update your Aadhaar, it is not mandatory. If you do not have enough time and the exam is near, you can proceed without updating your Aadhaar. However, possessing an updated Aadhaar is beneficial for various reasons. When you do get the chance, bring your new PVC-made Aadhaar card.
Other Identification Requirements for JEE Mains
